Donna Messley, 78; of North Haven passed away June 25, 2025 at St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born March 18, 1947 in New Haven to the late Robert and Mildred (Pantalone) Messley. Donna is survived by her husband Roland Malbouef and her sister Roberta Hillinski of North Haven. She is also survived by her four nieces; Amanda Hillinski (Joaquin Bingham), Jessica Messley, Gabrielle Messley and Alexa Messley and her sister-in-law Nancy-Jo Norwood of Meriden. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Robert Messley Jr. (2021).
Donna was a proud graduate of East Haven High School and later attended Albertus Magnus College. Donna had a tenured career at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield from which she retired in 2003. During her lifetime she also held positions at Macy's, Edal Industries, and East Lawn Cemetery. Donna was a passionate animal lover and active video game player. Her fondest memories consisted of the time she spent with her dearest friends and family. Donna held many titles during her lifetime of which the most celebrated included sister, aunt, friend, godmother, and dog mom. Donna is leaving behind her beloved dog Austin and many cherished friends and family members.
Family will receive friends on Monday June 30, 2025 from 5 to 7 PM in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday July 1 at 10 AM in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at the Church of St. Therese, 555 Middletown Ave., North Haven CT with Committal/Burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
