Donna Lanier Mims, 70, entered into rest Monday, December 29, 2025. She was born in Augusta and was a longtime resident of Richmond County. She loved animals, especially her dog, Benji. Donna enjoyed feeding birds and taking care of stray animals. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Barbara Lanier; and a sister, Kathie Blackwell.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Fred Mims; two children, Dana Cramer (Bobby) of Harlem and Bobby Taylor, Jr. (Becky) of Augusta; two step-daughters, Tami Sabo of Waynesboro and Cathy Beasley of McCormick, SC; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and four siblings, Lynn Lanier of Augusta, Sandra Criswell of Augusta, Terri Lanier of Chattanooga, TN, and Jimmy Lanier of Augusta.
Memorial Services will be held 1:00pm Wednesday, January 7, 2026, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bruce Allen officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
