A beloved resident of
Georgetown, Louisiana, Donna Gail Mundy, age 69, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
A memorial visitation for Donna will take place on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 9:00-11:00 am at New Friendship Baptist Church in Fishville. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am at the church with Brother Lloyd Whitman officiating.
Donna was preceded in death by her best friend, partner and love of her life, Randy Durand; parents, Thomas and Nellie Jackson; nephew, Charlie Hanner; and dog, Syd.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving sons, Curt Parker (Becky), Chris Parker (Ashley), and Jeramy Parker (Jeanette); grandchildren, Bridgette, Brittany, Josh, Brendan, Alex, Sydney, Sarah, and Nathan; great grandchildren, Lincoln, Wesley, Carson, Avery, Greyson, Kase, Korleigh, and one on the way; siblings, Sharon Swearingen, Linda Hill (Wayne), Danny Jackson, and Nelda Hanner (Charles); and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Born and raised with a heart for home and family, Donna found her greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved cooking for those she cared about, filling her home with comforting aromas and welcoming smiles. Whether she was fishing on the water, tending to her garden, or picking fresh vegetables she had grown herself, she found happiness in every moment spent outdoors.
Family and friends were the center of her world. She cherished visiting, storytelling, and gathering together, and she had a way of making everyone feel at home. Known as the life of the party, Donna brought laughter wherever she went, lighting up the room with her vibrant spirit, quick wit, and joyful personality.
To know her was to love her, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who were blessed to share in her life. Her warmth, generosity, and love for others will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
She will be remembered always for her loving heart, her lively spirit, and the countless meals, memories, and moments she shared with those she loved. She was a loving life partner, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Compassionate Care Hospice and her nurses, Shellie and Shannon for their love, care and kindness given to Donna.
