Donna S. Nelson

Donna S. Nelson (nee Sloan), age 71, of Macedonia, formerly of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025.

Donna was born July 20, 1954 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Prue and Vivian (nee Campbell) Sloan. She grew up on Coath Ave in Cleveland where she spent her childhood and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School.

Donna retired from cooking after a long career cooking for grocery stores which she loved to do. She also loved sweets, animals and music, her favorites being Motown and Average White Band. Donna had a great sense of humor. She loved to crack jokes on people and her infectious laugh could be heard wherever she was. But, most of all, Donna loved her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.

Donna is the beloved mother of Brittany Nelson, Bobby Nelson and Dion Perry; cherished grandmother of Cordae Lacy and Charleigh Nelson; loving sister of Billy Cox, Tina Williams, Ronald Smith and the late Karl Sloan and Stanford Sloan; dear aunt of DeCarlo, Nina, Jayaa, Santina and Christina.

The family will receive friends 10AM-12PM Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Busch-Romito Funeral Home, 521 Broadway Ave., Bedford, OH where funeral services will begin at 12:00PM.
