Donna Jean Nicholas, age 92, of Champion, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Windsor House in Champion.
Donna was born on November 1, 1933, in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Kenneth and Marguerite Berry.
A proud 1951 graduate of Leavittsburg High School, Donna was the loving wife of Perry Nicholas for 66 years until his passing on August 8, 2018. Together, they built a life full of love and family.
Donna is survived by her brother, Kenneth Lee Berry; three sons, Craig (Tammy) Nicholas, Bruce (Stacey) Nicholas, Perry (Bethia) Nicholas; and daughter, Lisa (Robert) Zadai. She will be dearly missed by her twelve grandchildren, Natalie (Jim) Antil, Abby (Quinn) Sanders, Olivia (De'Veon) Smith, Carina (Chris Altier) Nicholas, Jaimie Craley, Jessica (Jordan) Dickey, Elizabeth Craley, Andy Craley, Leah (John) Haug, Jessica (Jake) Azzarello, Emma (Quintin) Ratliff, and Sabrina (Najee) Pate. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren, including Axel, Genevieve, Parker, Presley, Kane, Blake, Phoenix, Savannah, Remington, Scout, Tatum, Carter, Rhys, Ada, Nicholas, Harper, and Willow, as well as many other beloved family members.
Donna will be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her family.
Her role as "Meemaw" brought her immense joy, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially the annual summer vacations to Myrtle Beach with the entire family.
In addition to her family, Donna found great joy in her friendships and in playing Texas Hold 'Em. She proudly earned a championship bracelet in the annual tournament for the Champion Poker Society, where she enjoyed the camaraderie of many friends.
Donna's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her-her spirit, kindness, and strength will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to have shared in her life.
A service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Carl W Hall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
