Obituary of Donna Lynn Passamonte
Donna Lynn Passamonte, age 57 of Bristol, VA, entered into heavenly rest in the arms of Yeshua on the Sabbath, Saturday, February 10, 2024. Donna was born on August 30, 1966, in Staten Island, NY and was the first of three children born to Robert and Vera Hepworth. Donna spent her childhood living with her family in Staten Island and was involved in many athletic programs in high school including sports such as basketball, field hockey and volleyball which she exceeded greatly in. While receiving a Bachelor's Degree in business, Donna continued to pursue her playing career of volleyball. After college, Donna was led to join the United States Air Force where she was stationed at Patrick Air Force Base in Cape Canaveral Florida. Donna served her country for four years and remained to live in Florida after she left the military. It is in Florida where she met her husband Tom. On August 13, 1994, Donna married her soulmate, Tom Passamonte, and after 29 years of a beautiful life and raising a family together, he survives.
Throughout her life, Donna was known for many things, but above all, she was known as a woman of the faith who loved the Lord. She loved reading scripture and she was a true prayer warrior. She loved worshipping her Heavenly Father, and she had a servant's heart, never expecting anything in return. She was devoted to Yahweh, her family, and friends; she was a true living testimony for Yeshua Messiah. Donna was the mother of six children whose desire is to carry on her testimony of living for the Lord. She greatly loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and going to the beach was her favorite activity. Her family and friends await the day when we will all be resurrected into the glories of Heaven and be reunited with one another.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; and older brother, Vincent. Those left to cherish Donna's testimony are her devoted and loving husband, Tom; their six children, Gianina Haymaker, husband Harrison and children David and Caleb; Brianna Torres, husband Dalton and children Aubree, Adam, and Aaron; Thomas Passamonte and wife Taylor; Christina Passamonte, Joseph Passamonte, and Domenick Passamonte; her sister, Kim Norman and husband Eric; her brother, Guy Hepworth; many loving nephews and nieces; and many loving family members.
A private family graveside service will be held at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City, TN with Pastors Matthew Miller and Scott Hillman officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 3-265. Thomas Passamonte, Joseph Passamonte, Domenick Passamonte, Harrison Haymaker, Dalton Torres, and Ethan Narro will be serving as pallbearers. A public celebration of Donna's life and testimony will be scheduled at a later date at Avoca Christian Church in Bristol, TN.
