Donna Lee Pflieger, age 87, of Wausau, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Donna was born on May 4, 1937, in Wausau, to the late Julius and Alice (Reetz) Mueller. She was united in marriage to Edward "Eddie" Pflieger on February 2, 1957, who preceded her in death in 2006.
Donna dedicated 30 years of her life as a cleaning lady in private homes. After her retirement in 1993, she moved to Hurley and later to Tomahawk, where she continued to enjoy life's simple pleasures. Donna had a passion for camping and muskie fishing. She also enjoyed home decorating and could often be found singing along to her favorite tunes on the radio.
She is survived by her son Jeffrey (Nancy) Pflieger and nieces and nephews Vicki (Rich) Tessmer, Kim Kluetz, Debbie Freese, Ronald (Darlene) Whippler, Bobby (Juelle) Whippler, and Jacqueline (Curtis) Kerstner. She is further survived by her dear friends Tristan (Amanda) Raymond and their children Vivien, Ira, Forrest and Merritt Raymond; Maritta and Scott Miller, and Brigetta Raymond.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters and brothers-in-law DeAnna (Gary) Syring and Audrey (Dick) Whippler; nephews Gary Syring Jr. and Scott Whippler; and her four legged friends Curly, Babe and Spanky.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St., Wausau. Visitation will take place from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday.
