Tamera Jean (Gruening) Martens passed away on October 28, 2025, in Wausau. She was born on March 22, 1965, in Wausau to parents Marshall Gruening and the late Jane (Kusel) Elliott.
A graduate of D.C. Everest Senior High School, Tammy returned to the Wausau area following residence in Virginia and Rhode Island. She was known for her creativity and passion as an avid crafter and quilter, a talent that brought personal enjoyment to her and those around her.
Tammy is lovingly remembered by her children: son Ryan (Janel) Martens, and daughters Anastasia Martens and Alyssa Martens. She was a proud "Goomba" to four grandchildren who brought great happiness into her life. She is also survived by her father Marshall (Linda) Gruening; brother Tim Gruening; sisters Sara Moya, Laura (Bill) Floyd, and Kate (David) LaChapelle; and beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jane Elliott.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date to honor her memory among family and friends.
