Donna Sue Poole, 60, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 2, 2026. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Donna will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Calvin and Clara Rose Foster Poole; her siblings, Rhonda Hooker and Jimmy Ray Poole; and her longtime partner, Rhonda Sweatt.
Born on January 29, 1965, in Marietta, Georgia, Donna was a proud 1983 graduate of Warner Robins High School. Donna dedicated 20 years of faithful service as a screen printer with Copy Express, Valley Athletics, and The Ink Spot. She spent much of her life in Warner Robins and Byron before moving to Cartersville in 2006.
Donna had a true love for the outdoors and a free spirit that shone through everything she did. She enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles, jet skis, and soaking up time in nature. Above all else, Donna cherished her family, finding her greatest joy in making memories with those she loved.
Her legacy of love lives on through her children: sons, Samuel Roach of Warner Robins and Dusty Sweatt (Revai) of Bartow; daughters, Polly Sweatt of Bartow, and Brandy Cook (Colin) and Shannon Nicole O’Connor, both of Byron. She was a devoted grandmother to Destiny, Harmony, Spencer, Gacie, Leila, and Ethan, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her sisters, Brenda Bruno (Steve) of Fort Valley and Cyndi Bradley (Rick) of Byron, along with several cherished nieces, nephews, and grandbabies who adored her.
Visitation with Donna’s family will be Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Cleghorn officiating. Donna will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens following the service.
