Donna Lynn Saxon Randall passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on March 5, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on November 7, 1955, Donna spent her life nurturing others with a tender heart and a quiet faith. She was a woman of grace, kindness, and unwavering devotion, whose life was a testament to her faith in God and her love for her family and friends. Donna was a 1973 Honor Graduate of Oconee County High School and worked at the University of Georgia as an Administrative Assistant in Cooperative Extension, where she retired after 34 years. She continued to work part-time until she chose to dedicate her retirement years to caring for her aging parents. She also found joy for many years in keeping the nursery at Antioch Christian Church, where she was a lifelong member and was well-known to all the children as “Miss Donna.”
Donna spent her life serving wherever needed. She found joy in simple moments, tending to her home, gardening, and preparing wonderful meals for her family and friends. Though she never sought the spotlight, her bright smile brought warmth and peace to all who knew her. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister and friend. Her faith was not loud, but it was steadfast, a quiet strength that carried her through life’s trials with dignity and grace. She believed in the power of kindness and lived each day as a reflection of Christ’s love.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, James Ervin and Nezzie Lene Christopher Saxon; her in-laws, K.O. and Lillian Randall; and brothers-in-law, Oran Randall and James Randall. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Loran Randall; daughter, Laura Lynn Randall; sister, Lawanna Saxon and her constant friend and sister-in-law, Ginger Randall. Other surviving devoted family members include Connie Tippett, Robbie (Mike) Link and Randy (Stacey) Randall. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family wishes to recognize the caregivers for their loving kindness, Sheila Lee, Sharan Staton, Annie Mae Jones, Sherry Coleman and for the devotion of the staff at Amedisys Hospice.
