Donna Loewe Ripple, age 67, of Bishopville, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2025, after a long, hard-fought battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was surrounded by family and friends at Coastal Hospice in Ocean Pines. Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Loewe and Joyce (Pusateri) Loewe.
Donna was a woman of boundless love, resilience, and humoralways reminding those around her that if she ever stopped laughing, thats when they should worry. And in truth, she never did. Her quick wit, infectious spirit, and unwavering faith were the foundations of her life, guiding her through every challenge with grace, honesty, generosity, and an unshakable belief in the power of family.
A self-taught seamstress of remarkable skill, Donna built her business, Keeping You in Stitches, with dedication and talent. Her work ethic was unmatched, and her creativity knew no bounds. When she wasnt sewing, she found joy in cheering for her Washington Redskins, tending to her garden, getting lost in a good book, crabbing, spending time on the water or at the beach, and working part-time at Lt & Co. But above all, her greatest joy was her family, whom she cherished beyond measure.
Donna is survived by her children: Joseph Ripple (Leila Milewski), James Ripple (Emily Knott), Candace Sappington (Graham Sappington), and Amanda Ripple (Enrico Reverberi), as well as her eight cherished grandchildrenCharlotte, Ruby, Maxwell, Gemma, Carina, Kazia, Cassandra, and Viviennewhom she shares with Christopher Ripple. She also leaves behind her brother, Michael Loewe, and her sisters, Kathleen Dowell, Bonnie Bigenho, Cheryl Loewe, and Christine Peterson, along with their spouses, nieces, and nephews. She is now reunited in peace with her beloved son, Thomas Ripple.
Donnas passing leaves an unfillable space in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, but her laughter, love, and wisdom will continue to shine through the countless memories she created. Her family lovingly shares her signature send-off, "Love to Love You, Baby," as a tribute to her fun and caring spirit, encouraging everyone to express their love freely and embrace life to the fullest.
