Donna Mae Roberts

Donna Mae (Shoecraft) Roberts, 86, passed away on September 9, 2025.
She was born in Muncie, Indiana to Warren Shoecraft & Harriett Shoecraft - Hill on August 25, 1939. She graduated from Central High School. She went on to Indiana Business College to take Business courses that would further her future and career.
Donna worked at Action, Inc., a government agency as an Office Economics Operations and Manager. She also typed Thesis for Ball State Teachers College Students and worked at Westinghouse Engineering Company as an Executive Secretary for several departments until her retirement due to illness. After the Lord touched Donna's health, she didn't let her illness stop her. She then proceeded to volunteer at various non-for-profit organizations such as: Tax preparation, 3-4 Food Give-A-Ways. She also joined the Industry Neighborhood Association where she was the Treasurer and during that time, she worked on obtaining a 501C3 grant and assisted other councils with their grants. She worked toward having better sidewalks built and dilapidated houses torn down in the Industry area to build the community. Donna was given a City of Muncie Citizenship Award from the Muncie City Council on November 2018 for her concern of the Industry Neighborhood Community.
Donna was a loving, caring and protective mother to her children Gina (Wayne) Benson, Bloomington, IN; Norman Jr. (Mickey) Roberts, Houston, TX; Kenneth Roberts, Lake City, Fl. She was Meme to 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters; Portia Shoecraft, Muncie, IN & Joanna (Bob) Waters, South Bend, IN; brother; Frederick (Cassandra) Shoecraft Sr., Eugene, OR, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and special friends to cherish her memory.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Warren Shoecraft, Harriett Shoecraft -Hill and Step-Father Willard R. Hill, sister Wanda Thompson, brother Ronald C. Shoecraft and granddaughter Dacia M. Roberts.
Services will be 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at True Vine Church, 1205 E. Willard Street with Bishop Wade Sloss officiating.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
