Robert Roysden Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by The Meeks Mortuary & Crematory - Washington Street Chapel on Feb. 24, 2026.
Robert "Bob" Wayne Roysden, 72, of Muncie, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

Born November 9, 1953 in Muncie, to Ottis and Flora Lillian (Vining) Roysden.

Robert graduated in 1972 from Wapahani High School.

Robert retired from Borg Warner in 2003, after 30 years of employment.

Robert enjoyed the Muncie Dragstrip, James Dean Festival, and riding his scooter around his neighborhood where he was known as the "Mayor of Mayfield".

Robert's greatest joy was his granddaughter Jenna, and attending her volleyball and softball games. He would always show up two hours early with an extra lawn chair for anyone who might need a seat.

Robert loved his family and hosting dinners and parties in his garage. He had a heart for everyone and would gladly give the shirt off his back.

He is survived by his son, Jason (Kera) Roysden; his daughter, Holly (Mark) Lucas; granddaughter, Jenna (Gage) Winters; step granddaughters, Breanna Rodeffer, Erika Baker, and Kamryn Baker; step great grandchildren, Braelyn and Weston Eldridge; his sisters, Vicki Goodman, Wanda King, and Judy (Wayne) Dodson; a brother, Ottis "Bubby" Roysden; a brother-in-law, Gail Carpenter; and many nieces, nephews; great nieces and great nephews; and special friends, Maxine Wright, and Jim and Angela Jensma.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Barbara Carpenter; his brother, Ronald Roysden; and his brother-in-law, Ron Goodman.

Per Robert's request, there will be no visitation or service held.
