Ronald "Ronnie" Ray Roysden, 56, of
Muncie, Indiana, was called home on Wednesday, December 31st, 2025.
Born on January 27, 1969, in
Muncie, Indiana, to Ottis and Flora Lillian (Vining) Roysden, Ronnie was a lifelong resident of the area and a proud graduate of Wapahani High School in Selma., in 1987, where he earned honors like Homecoming King - something that perfectly captured who he was. Ron also wrestled and played baseball for Wapahani.
"Big R", as his friends and family knew him, was a free spirit and had a personality that was impossible to forget. He loved to laugh, loved to have fun, and had a way of pulling everyone into the moment. Whether it was telling stories, cracking jokes, or just being himself, Ronnie had a way of making life feel lighter and more enjoyable.
Ronnie worked hard throughout his life, holding several jobs. He was a truck driver for many years, a MITS bus driver, and most recently working with Koorsen Fire & Security. No matter where he worked, Ronnie was known for his dependability and willingness to help wherever he was needed.
Above all else, Ronnie was a family man. His daughter, Trisha, and his three granddaughters -Lillian, Skyy, and Julia - were the center of his world. He never missed a chance to show up for them, whether it was their sporting events, a school dance, Grandparents Day, or a ride to Jerry's Ice Cream in his Blue Jeep.
If someone he loved needed him, Ronnie was there. Showing up wasn't just something he did, it's who he was. He will be remembered for his big heart, his strength, and the unconditional love he gave so freely to those around him. He had a way of making people feel supported just by being there, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughter, Trisha (Audie, Jr.) Barber; his granddaughters, Lillian Barber, Skyy Wilson, and Julia Barber; his sisters, Vicki Goodman, Wanda King, and Judy (Wayne) Dodson; his brothers, Robert Roysden and Ottis "Bubby" Roysden; brother-in-law, Gail Carpenter; many nieces and nephews; many great nieces and great nephews; and special friends, Jim and Angela Jensma, Brad and Tammy Holstein, and many more friends.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Ottis and Flora Lillian Roysden; his sister, Barbara Carpenter; and his brother-in-law, Ron Goodman.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
