Byron Hensley Obituary
Byron was employed by General Motors for over 30 years and retired in 2003 and was a member of the UAW Local 663. He was a skilled machinist with strong mechanical and carpentry talents. He also enjoyed camping, sports, and racing. He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his sister Rosalyn French of Muncie; his son, Nathan (Sarah) Hensley of Alexandria; his daughter, Shana (David) Gallaway of Fishers; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two nephews, Anthony French and Jerry French of Muncie; and best friend, Steve "Mouse" Garrett.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Guy Edward Hensley and Mary Helen Hensley; his son, Brian L. Spangler.
A private graveside service will be held at Marion National Cemetery in Marion, IN.
He will be deeply missed.
All arrangements are entrusted to The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
