Donna T. Staeven

Donna T. Staeven, 84, De Pere, passed away surrounded by family on December 27, 2025. She was born on August 8, 1941, daughter of the late Henry and Gladys Schmitz.
Donna was a graduate of Nicolet High School. On April 30, 1960, she was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Staeven at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Van's Valley.
She retired from being a seamstress. Dick and Donna were members of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ledgeview.
Donna loved traveling and was a puzzle connoisseur. She did a crossword puzzle every day and loved reading books. She loved being a seamstress. Family always came first though, and spending time with them was what she enjoyed the most.
She is survived by her children, Ricky Staeven, Debbie (Paul) Watruba, Rocky Staeven, Diane Staeven, son-in-law Joe Garrity, sixteen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
Brothers and sisters-in-law David Schmitz, Dale Schmitz, Dennis (Rebecca) Schmitz, Gary (Robin) Schmitz, Rick (Gail) Schmitz, Darrell (Sandy) Schmitz, Randy Schmitz, Betty Staeven, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Gladys, husband Dick, infant daughter Kathleen, daughter Kelly Garrity, brother Larry Schmitz, sisters-in-law Mary Schmitz and Jane Nohr, brother-in-law Ken Staeven, and granddaughter Tarra Staeven.
Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere from 2:00PM – 7:00PM, Friday, January 2, 2026. A service for Donna will take place at 5:30PM with Fr. Mike Ingold officiating.
