Donna Jean Stepson

1942 - 2026

Donna Jean Stepson was born on January 13, 1942, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She later made Savannah, Georgia her home in 1989, where she lived for many years and became a beloved member of the community.

Donna devoted her professional life to the childcare industry, a career that reflected her nurturing spirit and deep care for others. After retiring, she continued to give generously of her time through several years of volunteer service at St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital. She was also an active and valued member of the Windsor Forest Golden Age Center, where she enjoyed fellowship and friendships.

A devoted animal lover, Donna had a special affection for cats and found great joy in their companionship.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Stepson; her parents, Paul Gordon and Wilhelmina Boxma.
Donna is survived by her sons, Peter Stepson (Carrie) of Litchfield, Kentucky, and Steve Stepson (Amy) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; her brothers, Bruce Gordon and Glenn Gordon, both of Montreal, Quebec, Canada; her grandchildren, Jenny, Kristen, Greta, and Elizabeth; and three cherished great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 p.m. in the Hodgson Chapel, with Pastor Tim Brown officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Savannah or to a cat rescue organization of your choice.
