Donna Ann Stewart, born on October 22, 1952, in Neosho, MO, was a loving, humble, loyal, and thoughtful soul whose light shone brightly on all those fortunate enough to have known her. She was a beacon of strength and resilience, a woman of unwavering dedication to her family, and an individual whose warm-heartedness was as deep and wide as the Missouri River she loved so much. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." Donna embodied this sentiment in every sense, living a life that was not only well-lived but also made a profound difference in the lives of those around her.
Donna was a caregiver at heart, as evident from her services as a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Traditional House from 1983-1989, where she poured her heart and soul into caring for the elderly, providing them with a sense of comfort and companionship during their most vulnerable years. Even after her own battles with disability, she remained a pillar of strength, demonstrating unwavering resilience that was nothing short of inspirational. Donna was a true testament to the power of the human spirit, a beacon of hope in the face of adversity, and a symbol of courage to all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Aside from her professional life, Donna was a dedicated wife to Jackie Stewart, whom she married on November 4, 1987. They shared a bond forged in love, loyalty, and mutual respect. She was an ardent fan of fishing and NASCAR, and her love for the INDY 500, dirt track racing, and Tractor Pulling was unparalleled. Her passion for these hobbies offered her and her loved ones countless hours of enjoyment and a unique way to bond and create lasting memories.
Donna is survived by her loving husband, Jackie Stewart. She loved her daughter, Barbara Patrick, her grandkids, Samantha (Jerry Kyne) Patrick, Gary (Emily) Gene Patrick, her great grandkids, Braxton Patrick, Waylon Patrick, Moses, Kelsie, Michael-James and Christopher Kyne. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Allan, and her mother, Barbara Anderson.
As we mourn the loss of this extraordinary woman, let us remember Donna for the love she extended, the lives she touched, and the legacy she leaves behind. In the words of Helen Keller, "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Donna's spirit will forever remain in our hearts, and her story will continue to inspire generations to come.
