Donna Marie Stiffler (Burns), 76, born on January 1st, 1948, in Birmingham, Alabama, passed away surrounded by family on February 9, 2024, in Pensacola, Florida. She was a Jane of all trades; homemaker, banker, horticulturist, tax preparer, real estate agent, and a wonderful caregiver. Donna was a lifelong Alabama fan. She had a love for the outdoors, camping, hiking and watching the water in the gulf from her balcony. She always loved to stay in basecamp and make wonderful meals for her family when we returned from outdoor adventures. She made the best peach cobbler in a cast iron Dutch oven cooked under the coals. Her love for cooking and baking bought lots of joy to her family and friends. She was really talented with an array of arts and crafts. Donna served many years as a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Red Hat Mammas and the Boy Scouts of America. Donna enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest, loving to travel and see the world. Donna was a dedicated and loving military spouse for 37 years.
Donna was preceded in death by the love her life, William Robert Stiffler (RET) LTC. She was also preceded in death by her father, Walter C Burns; mother, Helen Burns; and sister, Phyllis Clayton.
Donna is survived by her sons, James R. Popp, Brian Stiffler (Christy), and Eric Stiffler (Amanda); two grandchildren, Tucker Lake Stiffler and Eli Fisher Stiffler; sisters, Melba Henthorn, Elisa Macon (Donna); and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Canton, GA. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate in Donna's memory to Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org or AMVETS www.amvets.org.
