Donna was born in New Castle on December 25, 1940 to the late Louis and Antonetta (Million) Rainey.
During her career as a nurse and nursing supervisor, she worked at several places including Edison Manor.
Donna enjoyed vacationing on cruises, going to the casinos, and playing Bingo. Her favorite sports team was the New York Yankees. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Donna is survived by her children; Toni Burkardt, John Thomas III, Daniel Thomas, Lori Hewitt, and Louis Thomas; brother, Louis Rainey (Tina); thirteen grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Traci Ables.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Parish – St. Vitus Church, on Thursday, October 2nd at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at St. Vitus Cemetery.
