DONNA JO TINKER
Donna Jo Tinker, 75, Sturgeon, MO passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born May 3, 1949, the daughter of the late Verdell Tom Kanatzar and Laura Mae (Akeman) Kanatzar. On May 9, 1969, she was united in marriage to Roy Tinker.
In addition to her husband Roy, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one daughter Marsha Ann Plank and her husband Ryan of Centralia, MO; one son Scott Edward Tinker and his wife Robynn of Centralia, MO; two brothers Richard Kanatzar and his wife Sue of Jefferson City, MO and Ronald Kanatzar and his wife Ladena of Sturgeon, MO; three sisters Betty Spurling and her husband Harold of Sturgeon, MO, Connie Kanatzar of Clark, MO and Patricia Buechter and her husband August of Jefferson City, MO; five grandchildren Trevor Plank and his wife Kimmy, Gavyn Tinker, Danielle Plank, Evan Plank and his wife Brenna and Grayden Tinker; three great grandchildren Jaxon, Bennett and Grayson; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, one sister Eugenia Roberts preceded her in death.
Donna first worked at MFA Insurance, then Shelter Insurance Co., then Silvey Insurance Co., later at Boone Hospital Center and she retired from Boone County Circuit Clerk’s Office. She was a member of Sturgeon Baptist Church and enjoyed camping, flowers, gardening, cooking and most of all spending time with her friends and family, especially all of her grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be 11:00 am Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Sturgeon, MO. Interment will be in Mt. Horeb Cemetery near Sturgeon, MO. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Sturgeon, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the NICU at the Women’s & Children’s Hospital or to the American Lung Association, c/o Oliver Funeral Home, P.O. Box 125, Centralia, MO 65240.
