Publish in a newspaper

Donna Lee Vaughn, a beacon of joy and love, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, in Plainfield, Illinois, at the age of 90. Born on December 16, 1934, in Festus, Missouri, Donna's life was a testament to her spirited nature, her loving heart, and her passionate embrace of every moment.
Donna raised her family in the Bloomington Illinois area including the small town of Atlanta. She worked at the Eureka Williams Company, where she dedicated many years of service before retiring.
Family was the heart of Donna's world. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob. She was a devoted mother to her sons, Mike Vaughn and his wife Cassie, Mark Vaughn and his wife Lisa, Dwayne and his wife Claudette, and her daughter Sharon and her husband Edward. Her children were her pride and joy, and she instilled in them the values of love, compassion, and perseverance. Donna's legacy continues through her many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored and cherished. She is also survived by her brother William Rose and his wife Judith of Festus Mo
Donna's zest for life was contagious. She loved to dance & sing. She loved Patsy Cline along with many of her traditional hymns. She also loved to play games and work puzzles. Her love for games was more than a pastime; it was a way for her to challenge her mind and stay sharp.
Those who knew Donna would describe her as the embodiment of spirit, love, and passion. Her laughter was a melody that resonated in the hearts of her family and friends, a reminder of the joy and beauty in the world.
As we bid farewell to Donna Lee Vaughn, we do so with a celebration of a life beautifully lived. Her memory will continue to dance in the stories shared, the songs sung, and the love felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Donna's journey on this earth may have come to a close, but the echoes of her vibrant spirit will resonate for generations to come.
Graveside services will be held Thursday October 23, 2025, at 1pm at Plainfield Township Cemetery 15502 Joliet Rd Plainfield IL followed by a celebration of life at HopScotch & Vine 24047 W Lockport St. Plainfield IL 60544
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Christ First Baptist Church 4295 Van Dyke Road Minooka IL 60447.

Yesterday

My condolences to all of her family. I worked with Donna at Eureka, we were in the same department. We laughed just about all day long! You always knew it was going to be a great day with her..

Yesterday

I worked with Donna at Eureka, she was a feisty and spirited woman who loved to dance and laugh. I last saw her at a gathering of Eureka personnel about a year ago and while I do not know if she remembered me she remembered the many stories we recalled of the shenanigans we had at Eureka at the many Christmas parties we attended. We had a blast! Donna it was good to see you again, enjoyed your laughter and that impish twinkle in your eyes!
