Following the services, burial will be at the Saint John Cemetery in Rush Valley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her older brother, Richard Kenneth Moldt; her grandparents; her uncles and aunts; and two first cousins.

She is survived her husband of 52 years, Mark David Walker and her three children: Danika (Andy) Taylor of Tooele, Utah; Jessica (Veny) Castillo of West Melbourne, Florida; and Brian Walker of Millcreek, Utah. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

DJ was born October 13, 1953, in Clinton, Iowa to Kenneth Gerald Moldt and Patricia Fae (Stapleton) Moldt. She graduated from Clinton (Iowa) High School in 1972. She was introduced to Mark David Walker on August 25th, 1972 by a mutual friend. They became engaged on Christmas Day 1972 and were married on May 5th 1973 in Fulton, Illinois. On Thanksgiving Day, November 24th, 1977, DJ and her husband Mark were baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. On May 5th, 1979, they were sealed in the Provo Temple (now called the Provo Rock Canyon Temple).

DJ spent the last 30 years of her life with Mark in Rush Valley. She loved the town, the people, and the ward.

Throughout her working career, DJ was employed in a number of capacities, including legal secretary, directory assistance operator, office manager for an asbestos abatement company, and paperback department manager at the Deseret Book flagship store in Salt Lake City.

Over her 48 years in the LDS Church, she held a number of callings, among which were: Ward Young Women President, Relief Society Cultural Refinement Teacher, Gospel Doctrine Teacher (three times), Teacher Development Teacher, Ward Young Women First Counselor, Temple Preparation Instructor (two times), and Family History Instructor. Most recently, she prepared the programs for Sacrament Meeting each week.

DJ's interests included making greeting cards, crocheting, needlepoint, and making jewelry. She was a voracious reader and also had a keen interest in family history and temple work.

Merry Doty

January 22, 2026

I grew up in Clinton with Donna. Our parents were best friends. I was a bridesmaid at her wedding. She was kind, had a great sense of humor, and always ready to talk to you. We lost touch through the years but I still think about her. She will be missed. My condolences to Mark and the rest of the family. Merry Doty (Widner)
