Mrs. Geraldine Rose Hicks Walker, age 85 of Dallas, Georgia, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026. She was born April 4, 1940, in Dallas, Georgia, the daughter of the late William Luther Hicks and the late Ruby Irene Fuller Hicks.
She was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church and proudly ran her own beauty salon, making countless clients feel beautiful. Beyond her career, she had a deep love for cooking and gardening, especially tending to her beautiful miniature roses and elephant ears.
Geraldine had a genuine love for adventure. She enjoyed traveling across the country in her RV, creating unforgettable memories along the way. Anyone who knew her would tell you about her fondness for old country music. Whether it was Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams Sr., Patsy Cline, or Waylon Jennings, her spirit was always lifted by their music.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Robert G. Walker, and a daughter, Sherry Lynn Worch.
Survivors include a son, Steve (Mary) Turner; sister, Myra Sweat Hicks (Travis); two brothers, Doug (Ann) Hicks and Jerry (Shirley) Hicks; five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
Funeral services for Mrs. Walker will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Sam Clark Chapel with Pastor Jeff Childres officiating. Interment service will follow in the Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery of Temple, GA, with Kory Brock, Stephen Turner, Jr., Hunter Turner, Herb Coffman, Jr., Herbie Coffman, III, and Jake Bruce serving as pallbearers.
