Donna Witty Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Burnam & Son Mortuary, Inc. on Oct. 28, 2025.
Donna Carolyn Covington Witty, was born March 8, 1950, in Franklin, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Lon D. Robey and Mary Ree Winston Covington. She was a graduate of Bowling Green High School and had a fulfilling life as a devoted homemaker. Donna professed a hope in Christ and was baptized at an early age and at Elevated Baptist Church. Donna filled her days with the things she loved most shopping for the latest trends in fashion, decorating her home, and cooking soulful meals that brought her family together, especially during Thanksgiving. Her green thumb was evident in her garden, and crime dramas were her favorite escape. Donna built her family with Joseph Witty, with whom she shared many cherished years until his passing.
In the morning hours of the day, on October 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family, Donna's story came to a close at age 75, rejoining her husband, parents, brothers and sister, Tony Covington, William Covington, Michael Covington, Delbert Covington, James Covington, and Zella Bell Hooker; grandparents Bessie Winston and John McCathron, who preceded her in passing.
The legacy of Donna Carolyn Covington Witty lives on through her daughters, Stephanie Witty (Walter), and Chain D. Lunsford; grandchildren, Cordiaro, Cimeyon, Cameron, Cyesha, great grandchildren, Caleyiah, Cordiarion, and Chase; sister, Vanessa Hardiman; brothers, Frankie Covington, Frederick Covington, Cedric Covington; several nieces and nephews; special friend Manuel Bell; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Sincerely,
-Your friends at Burnam and Son Mortuary
