Donna Lynn Wolfe, a remarkable and cherished member of the Wilmington community, entered eternal rest on September 23, 2025, at her birthplace in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Born on November 25, 1958, Donna lived a full and inspiring life of 66 years, marked by dedication and love for her family, friends, and the community she served with distinction.

Donna dedicated 36 years of her career to the Wilmington Police Department, where her steadfast commitment to service and justice left an indelible impact on her colleagues and community. Her compassionate nature was not confined to her professional life; Donna's enthusiasm for life extended beyond her work as she spent countless joyful hours at the beach, reveling in its beauty and tranquility.

A true friend to all, Donna's generous spirit was best seen in her deep love for children, who knew her as a dear "granny." Her kindness and wisdom became guiding lights for many, demonstrating her unparalleled ability to connect with others and leave lasting impressions on those fortunate enough to have known her.

Her faith in God was a cornerstone of her life. She was a Wrightsboro United Methodist Church. Donna's unwavering integrity and commitment to service were recognized when she received the prestigious Order of the Long Leaf Pine award from the Governor of North Carolina, honoring her outstanding contributions to the state and local community.

Donna's legacy continues through her loving family: her devoted parents, Norwood James Wolfe, Jr. and Faye Murray Wolfe; her beloved sister Karen W. Hamm and husband James; and her cherished nieces Madison Faith Hamm, Morgan Grace Hamm and Estrella Shotwell. She will also be missed by her treasured pets, Marley and Sydney, and countless friends and extended family members whose lives she touched with her warmth and generosity.

While we mourn her passing, we celebrate the incredible impact Donna had on our lives. A celebration of her life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday October 19, 2025 at Wrightsboro, United Methodist Church, allowing all who knew and loved her to honor her memory.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to the Wilmington Police Department Benevolence Fund or the ASPCA, organizations close to her heart.
