Donna Sue (Lewis) Zimmerman, 84, passed away during the afternoon of September 30, 2025. She was born in Washington on October 19, 1940, the daughter of Forrest and Virginia (McAtee) Lewis. She was married to Arthur Elwood Zimmerman until his passing in 1985.
Donna was a graduate of Petersburg High School. She was retired from NASCO, where she was a line worker. A woman of many interests, Donna enjoyed painting, adult coloring, and cooking. She was a member of the Beloved Widows Group in Washington and attended the Gospel Center in Petersburg.
Those left to cherish Donna's memory include her long-time companion, Bernard Spalding; her son, Phillip (Jennifer) Zimmerman; grandchildren: Cody (Carolyn) Zimmerman, Colton Zimmerman, Kenny (Mandy) Zimmerman, Luke (Latasha) Zimmerman, Tiffany (Aaron) Seitz, Mason Spalding; and nephews: Wade (Julie) Russell, Greg (Laura) Russell, and Troy (Anita) Russell; and daughter-in-law, Stacy Zimmerman. Donna was blessed with nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
During her lifetime, Donna mourned the passing of her parents, Charles and Virginia Lewis; her husband, Arthur Zimmerman; son, Bradley Zimmerman; and sister, Barbara Russell.
Visitation for Donna Zimmerman will be 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana.
Funeral services for Donna Zimmerman will immediately follow the visitation on October 4, 2025, and begin at 1:00 pm, also at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary. Denny Chanley will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, Petersburg, Indiana.
