SIGOURNEY-Donnie Bailey, age 60, of Sigourney, died Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney.
Donnie was born December 27, 1965, to Alfred and Theresa (Ennello) Bailey. He was hell on wheels from birth. Donnie lived fast and loud and took so much joy from life. He met his soul mate, Marcene Vest, and they were married on September 31, 1995. Donnie was a blue collar man through and through. He loved working with his hands and could talk to anyone. He loved being outdoors, fishing, bowling and racing. He loved his Monday night wrestling and never missed an episode. But most of all he loved his daughters and grandchildren.
He is survived and deeply missed by three daughters: Ashley (Russell) Johnson of Pulaski, Adrianne and fiancé Colton of Burlington, and Bethany Bailey and fiancé Darian Quick of Sigourney and nine grandchildren: Alex, William, Gabbie, Willow, Delanie, Emerson, Vivienne, Ivy, Hunter, Maverick, Ravyn and Samara, as well as three sisters: Rebecca (Laramie) Gardner, Mary Jane Bailey and Theresa (Tracy) Kincade; brother: Adam Bailey, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Marcene in 2023; brother: Joseph and sister: Sherra.
Per Donnie’s wishes, his body has been cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
A general memorial fund has been established. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Sigourney is caring for Donnie and his family. Tributes may be made at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
