Donnie Banks, 72, husband of Evelyn Haddix Banks, a man of exceptional character, passed away on October 16, 2025. Born on the 1st of April, 1953, Donnie lived a fulfilling life that resonated with many. Leaving behind a significant mark in this world, his loss is deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Donnie is celebrated in memory by his devoted wife, Evelyn Banks. On June 24, 1973, Donnie and Evelyn celebrated their union in marriage, creating a beautiful family that they cherished above all else. Their love story is one that profoundly impacted all who had the privilege to know them. His legacy continues in the lives of his children: Lisa Miller(Brian Miller), Deana Combs, Julie Banks, John Banks(Jacinda King), Sandra Kay Crase(Kevin Crase), and Richard Allen Lykins(Jesica Crase). They each hold an assortment of heartfelt memories of their father, moments that they will cherish and remember for a lifetime. Also survived by brothers, Clyde Banks and Elmer Banks; sisters, Rosie Trent, Beulah Carney, and Wilma Faye Taulbee; 10 grandchildren and Numerous great-grandchildren. Donnie was predeceased by his loving mother, Sarah Jane (Moore) Banks, his father, John Banks, and sister, Joyce Banks Graybeal. The heartfelt remembrances of his parents always held a special place in his heart, and their teachings and love shaped the man he grew as to be. Donnie's memory will continue to inspire, influence, and guide his loved ones. He will be fiercely missed but never forgotten. His memory will forever be imprinted in the hearts of those who loved him. Funeral services Sunday, October 19, 2:00PM Wells Funeral Home by Clarence Haddix. Visitation Sunday 12-2pm. Burial in the Banks Cemetery, Campton, Kentucky with John Banks, Tyler Combs, Kevin Crase, Justin Combs, Nicholas Combs, and Shelby Miller serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers serving, Brian Miller and Fred Haddix.
