Raymond Hall

Raymond Hall, 85, passed away on October 18. Born in 1940 to the late Millard and Mary Reed Hall, Raymond was a 1959 graduate of Powell County High School and served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He retired from Trane Company after a long and dedicated career. Raymond is survived by his wife of 61 years, Janice Hall; his children, Johnathan Hall and Suzetta (Doug) Creech; grandchildren, Jacob, Jordan, Bailey, Elizabeth, Adeline, and KC; great grandchild, Eli; and his brother, Owen (Shirley) Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Linual, Harold, Chester, Shelby, Paul, and Kenneth Hall; and sisters, Edith Hall, Agnes Rogers, Eunice Hall-Kosik, and Gladys Pelfrey.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 24, 1:00PM Wells Funeral Home by Bro. Scott Rogers. Visitation Friday after 12:00PM until the time of service. Burial in Stonegate Cemetery with his grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Ritchie, Clay Rowland, Gary Columbia, Hubert Smith, Larry Meadows, Bill Cress, and Bill McWorter.
To his six grandchildren who lovingly called him Papaw, he was a steady, gentle presence-always ready with a joke, a story, or a helping hand. A true jack of all trades, he could fix anything in his own way and took pride in sharing what he knew.
He has gone home to Powell County, where the hills and memories of his youth surely welcomed him back.
