Shannon Lynn Strange

Shannon Lynn Strange, 49, of Clay City, Kentucky, passed away surrounded by love and family. She was born on May 14, 1976, in Lexington, Kentucky, and grew up in Clay City, a place she always carried in her heart. Shannon was a force to be reckoned with; a true firecracker whose laughter, warmth, and strength filled every room she entered. She loved deeply and lived fiercely, with a heart devoted above all to her family and children. She had a special gift with kids, a patience and kindness that made everyone feel seen and loved. Her greatest joy in life was her grandson, Damian Strange, who was truly her whole world.
Her faith in God was steady and sincere, and she faced every challenge with courage and grace. Shannon was preceded in death by her beloved son, Timothy Dale Strange, and her brothers Randy Jones, Dale Jones, and Dean Proffit. She is survived by her mother, Marlene Jones; her beloved sons, Tyler Strange and Jacob Strange; her cherished grandson, Damian Strange; her sister, Crystal Jones, and husband Nathanael Sutton; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will forever carry her light in their hearts. Services Tuesday, October 21, 2:00pm Wells Funeral Home with visitation from 1-2pm. Burial in the Rose Cemetery with Nathanael Sutton, Jacob Strange, Tyler Strange, Raven Patrick, and Chris Brown. Honorary pallbearer serving, Thayde Patrick. Shannon's love, strength, and fiery spirit will never be forgotten. Her memory will live on in every smile she inspired and every heart she touched.
