Bro. Donnie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He married his sweetheart, Mrs. Martha, in the Spring of 1967 and they never looked back. Bro. Boney worked for L.P. Plant and then became a crane operator in the oil fields before welcoming their newborn daughter. Then he heard a call from the Lord that would forever change his life.Bro. Boney pastored a church in the Minden area before taking a church in Olla. He pastored 32 years in total and then went on to serve on the Ministry Board of Christ Temple Pentecostal Church. He was a devoted presence in the lives of his cherished grandchildren, whom he adored and supported unconditionally. His pride in their accomplishments and his constant guidance were cornerstones of their close bonds.
Bro. Donnie had a deep love for the outdoors. He found peace and joy in deer hunting, squirrel hunting, and fishing - passions he shared freely with friends and family. Whether it was a quiet morning in the woods or a long day by the water, he was happiest surrounded by nature and good company. A man of simple pleasures and strong values, Bro. Donnie will be remembered for his steady presence, his warm heart, and the legacy of love and memories he leaves behind. He touched many lives with his stories, his laughter, and the unwavering way he showed up for those he cared about. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
