Donnie Davidson age 79 of Cave City, passed away Wednesday morning, June 4th at University of Louisville Hospital. Donnie was a retired mechanic with the Barren County Road Department. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, he loved the outdoors and he participated in sports all of his life. Spending time with his family was one of his greatest joys. Donnie will be remembered most of all by his outgoing personality.
He attended the Christian Fellowship Church. Donnie was the son of the late Georgie Allen Davidson & Joseph Francis Davidson.
He was preceded by his brothers Mickey Nelson Davidson & Joseph Larry Davidson.
Donnie is survived by his wife Emma Kersey Davidson; his children Shane Davidson(Cheryl), Tracey Davidson Templeman(Chris) & Joe Davidson; a step-daughter Brandi Kersey; sisters-in-law-Francis Davidson & Diane Kersey; brothers-in-law-Lawrence, Linnie & Randall Kersey; grandchildren-Brett Davidson(Beth), Dakota Davidson(Hannah), Kyle Nickson, Harley Davidson & Chesny Davidson; great-grandchildren-Kenna, Kemrynn, Caroline, Beckham & Blakely and his beloved fur baby Bear.
The funeral for Donnie Davidson will be held at 1pm Sunday, June 8th in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Bro. Nicky Ferguson & Bro. Leo Kersey officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8pm, Saturday from 11am-8pm and after 9am Sunday at the Sego Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Cave City Cemetery.
