Donnie Fisher Obituary
Donnie spent his life working in the woods, logging timber, running equipment, and putting in many long days with a chainsaw in hand. He was no stranger to hard work and took pride in every job he did. He later retired from Georgia Mountain Forestry. Donnie was a son, brother, uncle, and a friend to many. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and the peaceful moments it brought.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Billy Fisher and Ervin Fisher; his sister in law, Liz Fisher; and his brother in law, Walter Flowers.
Donnie's memory will be cherished by his surviving family: his brothers, Dan (Wanda) Fisher and Rick Fisher; and his sister, Barbara Flowers. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Salacoa Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
