Amy Yates

Ms. Amy Yates, age 45, of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on March 18, 2026. Born on June 17, 1980, in Jasper, Amy brought joy, kindness, and a bright, gentle spirit to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Amy had a genuine love for people. She was always the first to ask how others were doing, offering care and compassion in a way that made everyone feel seen and valued. Her interests were as vibrant as her personality, she adored her babydolls, shopping trips, watching movies, coloring, and spending time at the beach. She loved picnics and simply being on the go, embracing each day with enthusiasm and curiosity.

She cherished her friends at the Burnt Mountain Center, where she formed deep and lasting bonds. Amy also had a special love for Disney, and her current favorite was Frozen, a story whose themes of love and resilience reflected her own heart.

Amy is survived by her loving mother, Patricia Yates, as well as her many dear friends at the Burnt Mountain Center. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Annie Maude and Robert Yates.

The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 6–9 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Arbor Hill Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 10 a.m.
