Donnie "Potty" Dale

Donnie “Potty” Dale, age 76, of Forest City, passed away, Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Hilltop Health and Rehabilitation in Rutherfordton.

Donnie was born Monday, February 16, 1948 in Rutherford County to the late Albert A. Dale and Ruth Webb Dale. He worked for the Department of Transportation as a Bridge Builder for over thirty years. Donnie loved going to the beach and spending time in the mountains. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Johnson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Melinda Downey (Mark) of Gastonia, Ray Dale of Dallas, NC, Tina Dale of Forest City and Timmy Dale (Kerry) of Forest City; siblings, Donnis Greene of Six Points, Sam Dale (Patty) of Rutherfordton, Chris Dale (Janet) of Hendersonville and Kim Loso (Steve) of Sanford, NC; grandchildren, Scott Millis, Steven Millis, Shawn Millis, Kallup Crowe, Korbin, Dale, Kenley Light and Rayna Dale; great-grandchildren, Kaspian Crowe and Eden Crowe.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 29th at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Mike Dalton officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
