ETHERIDGE – Donnis Randall Etheridge, age 83 formerly of Dacula, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Duncan Creek Congregational Church, 3868 Braselton Highway, Buford, Georgia. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Duncan Creek Congregational Church Cemetery. Donnis was a 1957 graduate of Dacula High School. He retired from General Motors Lakewood after 30 years of service. Donnis was Chairman of the Duncan Creek Church Board of Deacons, a member of the Dacula Masonic Lodge #433, and an original member of the Dacula Recreation Association. He loved hunting and the Atlanta Braves. Donnis was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Minnesota Etheridge, and son, Randall Keith Etheridge in 1965. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Janice (Gower) Etheridge; daughter and son-in-law, Donna & Joe Cote; daughter, Rhonda Etheridge; and son, Kenon Etheridge, all formerly of Dacula, GA; grandsons and granddaughters, Brandon & Laura Cote, Danielsville, GA; Jamie & Melinda Cote, Danielsville, GA; Kevin & Jessica (fiancée) Cote, Pendergrass, GA; Mychel & Megan LaJesse, Winder, GA; Kody Etheridge, Auburn, GA; and Kaleb Etheridge, Danielsville, GA; and great grandchildren: Peyton, Max, Garrett, Ava, Benji, Finley, Merritt, Charlie & Lucas. In keeping with Donnis' fashion, the family requests no ties, causal dress, and shirts with sleeves rolled up. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 300 Simonton Road SW, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046. 770.962.3100.
