Donny Fred Carter, 75 of Star City passed away Monday, December 9, 2024 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born November 3, 1949 in Star City to the late Ernest and Wanda Rae Johnson Carter. He was a member of Star City Church of Christ and was a farmer. He enjoyed his work, gardening, raising catfish, restoring old vehicles, but most of all he loved his grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Lynn Carter and a grandchild, Leslie.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Brenda Campbell Carter of Star City; 2 sons, Phillip (Cameo) Campbell of Jonesboro and Sam (Patricia) McCool of Star City; daughter, Cassie (Adam) Clark of Pine Bluff; 2 sisters, Sherry (Johnny) Powell of McGehee and Robin (Cathrine) Breaux of Little Rock; 15 grandchildren, Madison, Makenzie, Hadlee, Marlee, Carter, Caleb, Mason, Bobby, Brandon, Corey, Scott, Holly, Dillon, Jayden and Haley; and 2 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Friday, December 13, 2024 at Griffin Funeral Service Chapel in Star City with Bro. Garry Dutton and Landon Dutton officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
