Dora Bunn Davis

Dora Bunn Davis age 82 of Hardy passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. She was born the 7th of 10 children to Garlan and Minnie Bunn on August 4, 1941. Dora was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Davis Angle.  

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Mike Davis. They took many trips to Florida and Cabo to escape the cold January winters, but the only thing that really mattered was that they were traveling down the road of life together. 

Dora was a godly mother to her daughter and son-in-law, Annette and Ricky Cox and son and daughter-in-law, Rickey and Robin Davis. She could always be counted on for valuable advice and was never more than a phone call away. 

Grandmommie treasured her days with her grandchildren. From spending time at the pool in the summers with her traditional lunches of sandwiches and Doritos, to snowy days watching them sled down the big field off Wirtz Road. She loved piling them all in her big van with the VCR and TV for trips to the beach or even to vacation bible school each year. 

Left behind with these precious memories are Jessica (Greg) Ferguson, Jillian (Nicolas) Lovelace, Katey (Joe) Bear, Rachel (Andrew) Price, Sally (Mike) Hafey, Zane Angle (Jenn), and Gavin Angle (Amanda). 

The Lord blessed Dora with five great-grandchildren, Bellamy, Rosalyn, Eliza, Tommy and Cubby. 

In honor of her joyful life be sure to tell your family you love them and never miss an opportunity to let them know how much they mean to you. 

A celebration of her life will be conducted 12:00 PM Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Dr. Richard D. Harrell, Sr.  and the Rev. James H. Steele officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 11 AM at the funeral home.
