Dora De Luna, 94, our beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025. She was a resident of Corpus Christi but had recently moved to Converse Texas. She was the heart of the family. Dora's greatest joy and achievement was her family. She loved gardening, drawing, painting, bird watching, and thrift shopping but most of all she loved spending time with all her family. Dora's love for nurturing things was evident in her beautiful garden full of rose bushes and jasmine. She brought beauty and growth to everything she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents Arnulfo and Felicidad Garcia and her son David De Luna.
She is survived by her daughters, Christina (Jacob) Torres, Marta De Luna, and Rebecca (Arnold) Guerra. She has 5 grandchildren Annette Gutierrez, Louie (Patricia) Hernandez, Vanessa (Isaac Gonzales), Nicole Gutierrez and Isaac Hernandez, 8 great-grandchildren, Joe (Amelia) Cortez, Jacob Cortez, Julian Cortez, Christian Vera, Jonathan Vera, Ezra Hernandez, Noah Hernandez and Alex Hernandez, 1 great-great granddaughter Rio Cortez, her sister Margot (Leonardo) Gonzalez, niece Elizabeth (Oscar) Ramirez and nephew Omar Gonzalez and several cousins who all loved her dearly, especially Norma Farias who was like a sister to Dora.
Dora was known for her beauty and grace. She had the kindest of hearts and was very loving, caring, and generous to us all. Her family and her unwavering faith guided her throughout her life. She loved to sing, dance and act. She was always ready for the spotlight to put on a show. She gave us so many beautiful memories to cherish. She was loved dearly by many. She will be greatly missed by us all. Forever in our hearts, gone but not forgotten.
"Your love still guides us, and although we cannot see you, we feel your presence."
