Dora A. Ewing, age 87, of Charleston, Arkansas, formerly of Bonnerdale, died Thursday, October 24, 2002.

She was born on March 17, 1915, at Bonnerdale, the daughter of John W. Bright and Flora E. Dillard Bright. On March 31, 1937, she was married to Roy Ewing, who preceded her in death on March 19, 1982.

She was a member of the Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, John Ewing of Alma, Duane Ewing of Bonnerdale, and Gwen Ewing of Charleston; one brother, Arnold Bright of Bonnerdale; and six grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 28, 2002, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Ivy and Bro. Shawn Luekenga officiating.

Interment will be in Dillard Cemetery, with arrangements under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.

I am glad that your mother went the way she wanted to go. It is easier to deal with that way, even though it is never easy to let go of a dear loved one. My prayers are with your family and pray for comfort for all of you during this time. Remember all the good times, I know there were many.
