Dora Hobbs Weaver Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 15, 2025.
Dora Beatrice Hobbs Weaver, age 87, passed away April 14, 2025 peacefully at Rambling Oaks Courtyard in Lewisville, TX, surrounded by her family. A proud West Texas native, Bea was known for her award-winning nursing skills, her quick wit, and her love of reading and sunflowers.

Preceded by her husband, James, and her 4 siblings, Bea is survived by her two children, Mary and James, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Bea wished to be cremated and laid to rest with her husband in Big Spring, Texas.

In lieu of a formal memorial, Bea wished for her memory to be celebrated with a margarita at your favorite local Mexican restaurant. Honor Bea by smiling, making memories, and raising a glass in her name.

Bea was such a treat! She had such a great sense of humor. I loved getting to know her at the shop. May she rest in peace.

Memaw was a bright spot in my life. I loved visiting with her and sharing my adventures with her. She will be dearly missed and celebrated each time I have On the Border.
Love you.

I am very sorry to hear of her passing. I loved all the times I had the privilege of seeing her. She was so fun and kind. Her spink reminded me of my grandmother. I just loved her.
