Judy Norris Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home - Lewisville on Sep. 29, 2025.
Judy Norris, of Lewisville, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, after a courageous battle with dementia. She was born on October 18, 1943, in Dalark, Arkansas, to Benjamin Blake Daniel and Mary Cathryn Daniel. Judy grew up in Irving, Texas, where she attended school and graduated from Irving High School.

After high school, she married Billy Glen Norris, in Denton, Texas. Together, they raised a family. Judy devoted herself wholeheartedly to being a wife, mother, and active member of her community. She served as PTA President in Richardson, Texas, coached elementary girls' basketball, and remained close with her lifelong friends from high school-affectionately known as the Teenetts.

As her children grew older, Judy began a successful career in the insurance industry, where her dedication and work ethic made her a valued employee until her retirement.

Judy was known for her exceptional cooking and baking. Her home was often the heart of family gatherings on holidays and birthdays. She loved shopping, traveling, and browsing the Old Dallas Farmers Market for fresh produce. A lifelong reader, she was never without a book in hand. More than anything, Judy cherished time spent with her family.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Cathryn Daniel and Benjamin Blake Daniel and her brother Benjamin Blake Daniel, Jr. She is survived by her daughters Kim and husband Don Allen, Kenya and husband Steve Sprague, and Kelli and husband Rapheal Lott; grandchildren Gregory and wife Krista Andrews, Matthew and wife Nichole Sprague, Jillian and husband Robert Parker, Katherine Lott and Kassidy Lott; and bonus granddaughters Julie Holden, Cherry Hughes, and Tammy Gilbert.

She also leaves behind her cherished great-grandchildren Dylan Andrews, Olivia Sprague, William Parker, Zachary Andrews, and Benjamin Sprague.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 4, at 9:00 with the Celebration of Life immediately following at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Rich Mussler will be officiating.
