Doreen Kay Cobb

Doreen Kay Cobb died September 20, 2023, at the age of 74. Born on April 4, 1949, to parents George K. Cobb and Luella M. Cobb, Doreen was a force. She was a strong woman with an amazing ability to clearly communicate, oftentimes without saying a word. Doreen was raised in Dearborn Michigan and moved to Harrison Michigan with the family in 1973. In 2000 she moved to Midland Michigan where she purchased a home of her own. This home was her pride and joy and she kept brother Doug busy with upgrades to the house throughout her time there.
Doreen worked most of her adult life at a variety of jobs and took great pride in the quality of her work. She enjoyed a variety of crafts and many of her products live on in our homes. She was a participant in the Special Olympics for several years and walked the Mackinaw Bridge every year for over 30 years.
Doreen lived her life with strength and confidence. Her determination to live while dealing with very difficult circumstances was an inspiration to her entire family.
Doreen was preceded in death by her parents George Cobb (1974) and Luella Cobb (2004). Doreen is survived by her siblings Sharon Anthony (Malcolm), Janice Sebastian, Douglas Cobb (Susan), and Vicky Cobb (Garnet Lewis); many nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, and several great, great nieces and nephews.
A luncheon will be held in Howell Michigan at Coratti's Pizzeria at 1:30 on Saturday, September 23, 2023.
