Doreen A. Vieira

HARTLAND-Doreen A. (LaFrance) Vieira, 95, formerly of Taunton, Massachusetts, died peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Sebasticook Valley Hospital. She was born in Taunton, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late George and Kathleen (Driscoll) LaFrance.
She graduated from Taunton High School with the class of 1948 and retired from the city of Taunton as Assistant City Clerk after many years of dedicated service. She volunteered at Sebasticook Valley Hospital for many years which gave her great happiness. She was a member of the Winthrop Baptist Church in Taunton and a faithful attendant of the First Baptist Church in Hartland, Maine.
Doreen had many enjoyments in life that included traveling and taking cruises, knitting, listening to her audio books, and taking rides along the Cape Cod Canal with her husband, Larry, and enjoying a good meal out with friends and family. Most of all she truly enjoyed time spent with her family.
She is survived by her loving son, Dean and wife Terri of Hartland; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her loving husband, Larry; and three brothers: Norman, Roddy, and Richard.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the First Baptist Church, 10 Elm Street, Hartland, with Pastor David Michaud officiating. A gathering will follow in the church fellowship hall. A committal service for both Larry and Doreen will take place at a later date in the Mayflower Cemetery in Taunton, MA.
