Doreen Dawn Wesson

Doreen Dawn Wesson, 57, of Verona, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at SUNY Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, where she had been a patient since June 11, 2025.
She was born on July 8, 1967, in Oneida, the daughter of Clair V. and Roberta (Edic) Ebersold. Doreen was a 1985 graduate of Oneida High School.
She was a Physical Therapy Assistant for CenterWell Home Health in Shelby, North Carolina, until July 2024, when she moved back to the area.
Doreen lived a vibrant and adventurous life, full of love, laughter, and creativity. She found joy in motorcycle rides with her beloved dog by her side, exploring the open road and the beauty of nature. A talented seamstress and avid crafter, Doreen always had a project in hand and a smile on her face. She loved hiking and cherished every moment spent at camp on Stillwater Reservoir, where the stillness of nature matched her peaceful spirit. Above all, Doreen was a devoted mom, a proud grandma, and a loving dog mom whose heart overflowed with care for both her family and her furry companions. Her legacy of strength, kindness, and adventure will live on in all who knew her.
Surviving are her three children, Brandon (Astrid) Tufte, of Shelby, NC, Briety (Louis) Koler, of Spokane, WA, and Corrinne (Marcus) O'Hara, of Cazenovia; her brother, Douglas (Tammy) Ebersold, of Verona; her sisters, Roxanne (Michael) Whipple, of Oneida, Renee Shields, of Rome, and Daphne (Robert) Devine, of Cazenovia; her eight grandchildren, Kale, Krislyn, AnnaLee, Kamden, Kinslee, PaisLee, Astrid, and Gatlin; one great-granddaughter, Brinley; and several nieces and nephews. Doreen was predeceased by her parents, and her brother, Arthur R. Ebersold on December 18, 1993.
