Dori Ellen Eith-Shelby, 69, of McFarland, left us to be with God on Sunday, March 23, 2025. Dori was born to Alan and Mary Lou (Bushee) Voiss in Chicago, Illinois on September 26, 1955. In 1961, the family moved to McFarland and Dori remained there for the rest of her life. She was a 1973 graduate of McFarland High School.
Dori was employed by GE Healthcare for thirty-eight years before retiring in 2017. Dori loved going to the Wonderspot in Bruce, WI and the Chippewa Flowage in Northern Wisconsin to enjoy time with family and friends.
Dori loved cooking and baking and always made sure there was a perfect campfire. She also had fun boating, playing euchre, poker and video gambling machines. She enjoyed getting on sports pools, particularly add-ups and loved tending to her flowers and having a cocktail or two. Dori also loved playing softball, bowling and listening to her music.
On September 23, 2005, she married James Shelby in Las Vegas. She is survived by her husband; two sons Brian (Alyson) Eith of Cottage Grove and Christopher (Natalie) Eith, McFarland; two grandchildren, Kyle Eith and Abigail Eith; two stepsons, Tom Shelby and Joel Shelby and a third son Will Clift. Four brothers; Duane “Dewy” (Diane) Voiss, McFarland; Dale Voiss, Madison; Kurt (Vicki) Voiss, Poynette and Wade Voiss, Lyndon Station. She is also survived by her little furbaby, Buck.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Loren, Terry and Danny and a sister Julie.
Services will be held on Thursday April 3, 2025 at the Cress Funeral Home in McFarland. Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. with the services set for 11:00 a.m.. In addition, on Saturday April 12, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. there will be a celebration of life and luncheon held at the American Legion Hall, 4911 Burma Rd., McFarland.
The nightly ceremony in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated in honor of your loved one on the day of your choosing.
