Doris Lorraine Jarrett Adams, age 88 of Bloomberg, New York, formerly of Shepherdsville, KY returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. She was born on July 12, 1935, in Bell, West Virginia, to the late Arthur Ray Jarrett and Stella Miliam Jarrett.
Besides her parents, she is also preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Kirby; second husband, Allen Duvall Adams, Jr.; three brothers, Ray Jarrett, Duke Jarrett and Gene Jarrett.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Tom Kirby (Marianne) and Dave Kirby (Elizabeth); stepdaughter, Wilean Goforth; grandchildren, Kristinna Crowe (Aaron Weiss), T.J. Kirby (Nicole) and Lauren Kirby; great grandchildren, Connor Crowe, Maggie Crowe and Will Kirby and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon on Friday, June 28, 2024, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Highway at Brooks Road) with burial to follow in Brookland Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 2 until 8 pm and on Friday from 9 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
