Doris Blythe Obituary
At the grand age of 97, Doris E. Blythe passed away peacefully on Feb. 2nd, 2024, at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton Ohio. She was born on January 4th, 1927, to Evelyn (Snyder) and Harold Muckley in Canton Ohio, the first of 6 Children. Doris Resided in Stark County Ohio her entire life other than a brief stint in Washington State where she married her sweetheart before he went to WW2. Primarily a homemaker, Doris loved taking care of her family. She was an extremely generous and kind person who would be there for someone in need and in later years opened her home to many family members. A favorite of family members was her Christmas roast beef that wasn't to be missed. And speaking of food she loved going to The Hideaway for a Buffalo burger now and then. One of Doris's favorite things to do was to read romance novels and do word search puzzles with her dog Lady by her side. In her younger years Doris could be spotted sitting on her front porch along with neighborhood friends enjoying a summer day. Doris became a Gold Star Mother in 1972 when her son David Andrew Bryan was killed in action in Vietnam. Doris was predeceased by her husbands, Ross Blythe and Jack Bryan Sr., son David Bryan, daughter Janet Gadd, brother Richard Muckley, and sisters Nancy Hooper and MaryAnn Dalheimer. She is survived by her children Daniel Bryan and his wife Kathy of Naples, Maine, Jack Bryan and his wife Wanda of Robertsville, Ohio, and Susan Klotz and her husband Mark of Malvern, Ohio. She leaves 13 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren. Doris also leaves her brother Jim Muckley and his wife Jean of East Canton, Ohio and her sister Kay Perry and her husband Jim of Massillon, Ohio. Family and friends are invited to call at Arnold & Spiker - Foster - Shriver Funeral Home at 4817 Cleveland Ave. N.W. in Canton, on Thursday, February 8th, 2024, from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. with services to follow. The burial will be held at North Lawn Cemetery in Canton. Mom, (Doris) will be greatly missed by all her family. Please sign the tribute page.
