It is with great sadness the family of Doris Brennan announce her passing at the age of 95 on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the Lutheran Care Center. Doris was born on December 19, 1926, in Woodside Queens to William and Charlotte McKibbin. She Married the love of her life- James Brennan on October 11, 1947 at St. Sebastian's Church in Woodside Queens. Doris and Jimmy met in the fourth grade. They were married for 41 years. Sadly, Jimmy passed away in May 1988.

Her Family includes her four amazing children: Jean Silverman (Harvey), Elaine Fink (Charley), Dorothy Lantz (Robert), and Edward Brennan (Kathy), her 10 beloved grandchildren, 12 precious great grandchildren with one on the way, and one cherished great-great grandchild.

Doris loved to sing and was a member of the Diocesan Choir of Rockville Centre N.Y. Most importantly she was a homemaker that instilled a strong sense of family and the importance of Sunday dinner. If that wasn't enough, she also did bookkeeping for several banks and businesses.

The family would like to thank the staff of both Vassar Warner Home (in Poughkeepsie NY) and The Lutheran Care Center (Poughkeepsie NY), both were loving and gracious.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Delahanty Funeral Home at 64 East Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to your favorite charity.
